Water Quality

The Pinewood Springs Water District owns and operates a public drinking water system in Pinewood Springs providing drinking water supply, treatment, and distribution services to its small community.

The District is proactively addressing drinking water issues resulting from aging and failing infrastructure, like many community-owned and operated systems throughout the State of Colorado. This includes working with its engineering and operational consultants to identify system needs, including addressing concerns about water quality, quantity, and aesthetics.

The analysis will require alternatives analysis, development of a capital improvement plan, evaluation of water system rates, and developing a strategic funding plan to help support pursuit of long term, low interest loans and grants available to shoulder costs associated with necessary improvements.

The District is dedicated to maintaining public water service to its community in the short and long term.
